Tender and mature & worth watching
"worth watching

Film: YE MAYA CHESAVE
Rating: 3.5/5
Banner: Indira Productions
Cast: Naga Chaitanya, Samantha, Krishnudu, Tanya, Surekha Vani, Sanjay Swarup, Devan, Lakshmi, Puri Jagannadh, Trisha Alex and others
Music: A R Rahman
Cinematography: Manoj Paramahamsa

Story
A touching love tale, the story begins with Karthik (Naga chaitanya) who is an aspiring film director and as soon as he passes out of college, he is on his attempts. His life changes when he sees Jesse (Samantha), the daughter of his house owner. He is smitten by her and from then on, he begins to woo her. But then, Jesse doesn't encourage such moves as she is from a staunch Kerala Christian family and moreover, she is elder than Karthik. But Karthik is adamant and doesn't give up. At one point, she reveals her true feelings and just when Karthik things everything is fine, his life takes a turn. What is that turn? How does he
cope with it? all this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation
The director has come up with a thoughtful romantic theme and he has excelled in both his presentation and narration. The dialogues were simple but deep, the script was fabulous and the screenplay was top notch. Background score was a bit disturbing at times but overall okay. Two songs were good but the picturisation of them was excellent. Full marks to cinematography and the way each angle and moment is captured. The single shot scenes were exemplary. Editing was crisp. Costumes were stylish and decent, art department was highly creative. Naga Chaitanya did a good job for his role but he must get a bit easy on the soft emotions like tears. Samantha has ruled the roost and she will simply capture the young hearts. Krishnudu brought in some smiles, the others were regular and contributed as required.

Conclusion
The feel of the film is quite realistic and it is without doubt that eight out of ten people will relate to it. This is a journey of nostalgia and tender emotions and no exaggerations in saying that couple of scenes wrenched the heart. While the first half is more on the entertaining and lighter emotions side, the second half is serious and emotional but it is here that the film scores the best. The technical values and production values take the film to a new league and with few powerful scenes, the impact is much stronger. This is purely for the class and mature audience and it could be that a minimal percentage of masses may also connect with it. At the box office, this deserves a hit.

"Just okay"

Film: KALAVAR KING
Rating: 2.5/5
Banner: Sai Krishna Productions
Cast: Nikhil Siddarth, Shweta Basu Prasad, Ajay, Ali, Venu Madhav, Raghu Babu, Dharmavarapu, Ahuti Prasad, Suman Shetty, Pragathy, Kasi Viswanath, Anitha (spl song) and others
Music: Anil
Cinematography: Balamurugan
Director: Suresh
Producer: D S Rao
Release date: February 26, 2010

Story
Set on the backdrop of Rajahmundry, the story begins with Rajesh (nikhil), son of a teacher (kasi viswanath) and a middle class family. He is street smart and he goes around making loans in the town. The story takes a turn when Shruti (swetha basu) enters into the home of Rajesh due to an incident and accidentally drops her precious chain. This falls into the hand of Rajesh and from then on, he starts taking advantage of the situation and asks her to get various forms of food. Due to an unexpected situation, Rajesh has to pledge the chain to Narendar Shetty (ajay). In fact, Narendar Shetty is the 'Bava' of Shruti who keeps enquiring about the chain to Shruti since he gave it to her. He decides to marry Shruti at any cost. Meanwhile, an incident happens which changes the life of Rajesh and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation
The director has come up with a good thought but then his presentation was poor and the narration was weak. The dialogues were simple and lacked punch, however the script was good, and the screenplay was okay. Background score was not upto the mark and few tunes looked like they were lifted from other tunes. Songs were not good and not in sync. Cinematography was a saving grace while editing was standard. Costumes were alright. Nikhil gave his heart and soul to the role and he is the life of the movie. Shweta was a turn off, she has to cut down her flab and get into shape before things go out of control, Ajay is talented and did justice to his role, Ali was okay, Raghu Babu was usual and got good laughs, Dharmavarapu was brief. The item girl Anita looked sexy. Others didn't have much to offer and they came and went.

Conclusion
The film has continuity and logical along with a good cohesiveness to the plot but then it is the heroine and the directorial flaws which were looking evident. An attempt has been made to make it to appeal masses but that has not worked well. While the first half is okay, it is the second half which is much better barring the general hiccups. At the Box Office, it could be an average show but the film received good ammunition in the form of Nikhil so his followers might take it to a decent mark.

Rating : 2.5/5
Good thought but slow
" could have been better"

Film:   INKOSARI
Rating:   2.5/5
Banner:   Bay Movies
Cast:   Raja, Manjari Phadnis, Richa, Vennela Kishore, Ravi Varma, Sandeep, Harish, Rao Ramesh, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Bhargavi, Sayali Bhagat and others
Music:   Mahesh Shankar
Cinematography:   Gogineni Ranganath
Director:   Suman Pathuri
Producer:   Kalyan Palla
Release date:   February 26, 2010

Story
A thoughtful tale, the story is about six friends Ajay (raja), Shruti (manjari), Bala (Kishore), Vicky (harish), Sudhakar (Ravi), Deepthi (richa) who are the best of buddies in the college. However, college gets over and just when each of them is about to go their own ways, Vicky suggests that all of them must meet on the same day next year. They agree for that but then each of them gets busy on their lives despite Vicky's attempts to reach them. It is only after seven years when Ajay comes from the US and decides to catch up with the rest of the gang. He gets in touch with Bala, Sudhakar, Vicky and proposes a one week vacation with the same gang. Even Deepthi and Shruti join it. Each of them has gone through different changes in life and how the vacation changes it forms the rest of the story.

Presentation
The director has come up with a good theme but he could not perceive it well in terms of presentation or narrative. The dialogues were superb, the script was average and the screenplay was weak. Background score was good but could have been avoided at many places, two songs are worth humming, cinematography was patchy, editing was okay, costumes were good and the art department was apt. Raja has not given anything special and he just did his bit as required, it must be said that he must work on his acting skills, Manjari was pretty and had a sizzle with her looks, Richa was cute but her role was subdued, Sandeep was elegant and he fit the role well, Ravi Raju was regular, the real show stealer was Vennela Kishore who has given a hilarious treat. Gollapudi Maruthi Rao was standard, Saira Bhanu was hot, Rao Ramesh was alright, Bhargavi was appealing, the others didn't have much to do..

Conclusion
The film has got a good concept but it could have created an impact if it was executed in the right fashion. The drawbacks in the film were the technical standards which didn't give a visual appeal and also the pace of the movie was slow which is hard to adjust. The first half is good and has many entertaining moments but the second half gets a bit twisted and emotional but lands smoothly. This is not a film for the masses so it could be an average fare at the box office.
